GABRIELE TEERMANN, M.D.

Dr. Teermann received her medical degree (magnum cum laude) from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. Prior to coming to the United States, she successfully completed her general surgery residency at the Klinikum Hohenlohe, Germany and Barnet General Hospital in Hertfordshire, U.K. Dr. Teermann’s interest and expertise in Gastrointestinal Pathology stems from her experience as a general surgeon. In the United States, she completed her Pathology residency at Northeastern Ohio College of Medicine.

“Gabi” is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Scotland. She is fellowship trained in Gastrointestinal Pathology gaining a wealth of experience under director, Dr. Robert Petras, a world renowned Gastrointestinal Pathologist.

While Dr. Teermann has written and contributed in many research projects and publications, she prefers to share her knowledge through lectures. Dr. Teermann takes the opportunity whenever possible to share her expert knowledge in Gastrointestinal Pathology.

Gabi holds memberships in the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP), Ohio Society of Pathologists (OSP), Cleveland Society of Pathologists, College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, General Medical Council of Great Britain, the South African Medical and Dental Council, and is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists (CAP),

With her husband John, Dr. Teermann enjoys skiing, fishing, hiking and traveling. Dr. Teermann also spends much time with her four-legged friends, two cats and two dogs.
