DAVID G. MARTIN-REAY, M.D.
Dr. Martin-Reay, who has served as the Chairman of the Pathology Department at EIRMC, has an extensive background in education and experience. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in England, he undertook his pathology residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Martin-Reay continued his quest for knowledge as an associate of renowned skin pathologist, Dr. A Bernard Ackerman, at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology in New York City.
David served as an associate professor/ instructor in pathology at Harvard Medical School under the esteemed academic pathologists Robbins and Cotran. He is the author of several papers in scientific journals and was a major contributing author of textbooks including, Cytology – Diagnostic Principles and Clinical Correlates (Saunders Publishing).
Dr. Martin-Reay brings multiple board certifications. They include Anatomic and Clinical Pathology certification from Northwestern University, subspecialty qualifications in Cytopathology from Harvard, and Dermatopathology from the Ackerman Academy/ Columbia University.
David has served on multiple hospital committees in his tenure and is a current member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP), and is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
Arriving in Eastern Idaho in 2003, he and his wife, Suzanne, enjoy many outdoor pursuits such as hiking, skiing and exploring Yellowstone National Park.
