EZRA ELLIS, M.D.
Dr. Ellis received his BA in biology (summa cum laude) from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. He earned his M.D. from Wake Forest University in North Carolina. At Wake Forest University, he completed his residency and subspecialty training in Hematopathology.
Ezra is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and has been very active in the medical community publishing papers and making presentations in Hematopathology. Most recently, he presented to the International Society of Hematopathology on his findings regarding Acute Leukemia. He is a current member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP), and is also a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
Dr. Ellis has undertaken considerable medical volunteer work. In Spokane, Washington, he volunteered extensively in a homeless clinic. In Salt Lake City, Utah, he worked with the health department to establish HIV prevention processes with the young. Dr. Ellis also served in Morales, Mexico, providing health care and education to the impoverished people in that region.
Having won All-American honors as a cross-country runner in college, Dr. Ellis continues to run for enjoyment. He and his wife Jean-Marie also spend a lot of time with their daughter and enjoy the outdoors, particularly exploring the Tetons.
